Christophe Van Biesen
My name is Christophe Van Biesen and I am a landscape and travel photographer from Belgium.
Since 2008 I have been living in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg and with time, I fell in love with my adopted country and specialised in photographing the Grand-Duchy's capital city and its countryside. For several years, I have been concentrating in particular on the changing seasons and the intensity of natural colours. This is how the Luxembourg art collection came to life. The photographs that are part of this series have been exhibited on multiple occasions in various venues, such as the European Investment Bank and the Cercle Munster. Nearly 200 pieces have been acquired by private collectors as well as Luxembourgish and international companies. Furthermore a part of the collection has also been acquired by the Banque et Caisse d’Epargne de l’Etat Luxembourg for a permanent exhibition in the ARBED building, 19 Liberté, in Luxembourg City.
When I am not making pictures in Luxembourg, I like to travel, discover new places and capture them with my camera. More recently I have made my first steps into filmmaking, which I feel is complimentary to my landscape and travel photography. I launched a YouTube channel where I share my experiences in a vlog. In my videos, I try to show you my way of approaching landscape photography, providing helpful tips along the way and creating compelling pictures of stunning locations.
