Join wildlife photographers Christophe Van Biesen and Henri Linden for a bird photography workshop in Remerschen, in the beautiful Haff Réimech nature reserve.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is designed for photographers who want to improve their bird photography in real outdoor conditions. We will focus on practical field techniques: how to set up your camera for fast-moving subjects, how to use autofocus more effectively, how to choose the right shutter speed, how to approach composition with long lenses and how to react when the moment happens quickly.
Remerschen is an excellent location for this type of workshop. Its ponds, reedbeds, walking paths and observation hides offer many opportunities to observe birds and other wildlife while working respectfully in a protected natural environment.
Together, we will combine technical explanations, on-location guidance and practical shooting time, so that you can leave with better images, clearer methods and a stronger understanding of bird photography.
It is suitable for motivated beginners, intermediate photographers and more advanced photographers who want to refine their technique, discover a good bird photography location and receive practical advice while shooting on location.
What will you get out of this workshop?
Apart from spending time in one of Luxembourg’s best birding locations, this workshop will help you improve the way you approach wildlife photography in the field.
You will learn how to choose suitable camera settings for birds and moving subjects, how to work with autofocus modes, how to adapt your shutter speed, aperture and ISO, and how to make better use of your telephoto lens.
We will also discuss composition, backgrounds, light, patience, observation and respectful behaviour around wildlife. Bird photography is not only about equipment and fast reaction times; it is also about understanding the scene, anticipating movement and knowing when to wait.
