Street Photography Luxembourg
I've been part of the Street Photography Luxembourg collective for 5 years now. I joined the adventure pretty early on, shortly after the collective was founded.
Since then, our collective has not stopped growing in size and scope, becoming somewhat of the official ambassadors for everything street photography related in Luxembourg. Four members became 11 and our small group recently officially became an ASBL.
LSPF - Luxembourg Street Photography Festival 2017
For four consecutive years in a row, SPLux held it's annual Slide Night, where slideshows of the collective's members as well as guests are shown to the public. For its fifth edition, our collective decided to go even bigger and take part in the European Month of Photography (EMOP). And thus the Luxembourg Street Photography Festival was born.
Slidenight and guest stars
For this very first edition of the festival, we got in touch with several outstanding photographers from Luxembourg and beyond, who agreed to send us their amazing slideshows. This year's guest stars were Véronique Kolber, Sven Becker, Nils Jorgensen and Kristin Van Den Eede. Of course, the members of the collective also presented their own slideshows.
Conference with Jean-Christophe Béchet
For this first edition of the festival we also decided to hold a conference and invited French photographer Jean-Christophe Béchet to talk about his approach of street photography.
Exhibition and Open Wall
As if the slide night and the conference weren't enough already, we are also holding a small casual exhibition at the Rotondes and again offer an Open Wall for all guests to participate in.
LSPF 2018
Following the success of this year's edition, our collective has already started work on next year's festival. We can't wait to show you what we have in store.
