The Little Luxembourg Art Collection

The Little Luxembourg art collection is a series of small custom-framed photographs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg made by fine art photographer Christophe Van Biesen. The artworks that are part of this collection are all unique. Each combination of photograph and frame only exists once!

This collection was created to provide a playground for the artist through which he could combine photographs, fine art papers and frames as he sees fit. Colourful autumn images may be framed in a golden frame complementing the warm tones of the image, woodland photographs may benefit from a wooden frame giving more depth and texture to the subject of these forest captures, while winter landscapes may be framed in more subtle white frames, adding to their subdued style. Photographs may be printed on different kinds of fine art paper, glossy or matte, and providing different degrees of structure and depth. Little Luxembourg is a mix of colours and textures, letting the artist create to his heart’s content. The entire collection is intended to be smaller in size than other art collections by the artist, hence its title Little Luxembourg. Its artworks are a great introduction to Van Biesen’s work made in Luxembourg.
