About Landscapes of Luxembourg

Landscapes of Luxembourg is a book series by professional artist and photographer Christophe Van Biesen. It documents the artist’s ongoing journey to photograph the Grand-Duchy’s natural and urban sceneries. Each book in this series focusses on a particular theme around landscape photography.

Landscapes of Luxembourg is self-published and aims at being minimalist and yet refined as well as inspiring. The images contained in each book are the main focus and are given ample space so that they can be contemplated without distractions. Shorts texts throughout each book delve deeper into Christophe Van Biesen’s personal approach to landscape photography, with anecdotes and stories for selected photographs. Landscapes of Luxembourg is a tale of adventures and emotions, exploration and discovery, failures and successes. It is deeply personal and dedicated to the artist’s adopted country and created for all those who feel connected to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and wish to (re)discover it through Christophe Van Biesen’s photographs.

Standard edition

The Standard edition of Landscapes of Luxembourg is 21x21cm 48-page softcover bookazine, combining the printing quality and refined design of books with the affordability and faster publishing cycle of magazines. Landscapes of Luxembourg is expected to be a bi-annual publication. Volume 1 is out now and Volume 2 has already entered the design phase and is expected to come out in spring 2021.

The DELUXE edition of Landscapes of Luxembourg is an oversized softcover 30x30cm series. It is limited to 10 signed and numbered editions, excluding one artist proof and one copy for the legal deposit at the Bibliothèque Nationale de Luxembourg.

Each of the 10 DELUXE editions for sale is accompanied by a unique A4-sized limited fine art print of a photograph from the bookazine! No DELUXE edition comes with the same print twice!
