My 2015 Retrospective

Travel

Just as last year, I did my fair share of travel this year again, even if they already seem quite long ago. In January I travelled to icy Québec where I experienced chilly -35°C and managed to capture some awesome winter landscapes. You can read all about that trip over here.

After that, in February, I travelled to Asia, where I visited Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia and Malaysia. Here temperatures rose to over 30°C. So in the span of one month I witnessed a change of 60°C!

Visit the Gallery for more travel images.

I also did a few shorter trips visiting the beautiful city of Dinant and the magical Hallerbos forest in Belgium, as well as the famous Saarschleife in Orscholz, Germany.

Luxembourg

As usual, most of my new pictures where made in Luxembourg again this year. I went on with my quest to capture the changing seasons in our beautiful Grand-Duchy and more specifically in the City of Luxembourg.

My personal favourite pictures this year were made from atop the Sofitel Hotel in Luxembourg City as well as from the Kirchberg plateau overviewing the Pfaffenthal and its two bridges.

The most popular picture by far this year was however my picture 'Rain and Fire', a montage of the National Day fireworks over Luxembourg's Grund neighbourhood. The picture had a lot of success on social networks reaching over 5000 likes and shares and over 100,000 picture views.

Prints and atelier

I also kicked off a lot other projects this year. I worked a lot on making new prints available to all of you. Some of them now hang a bit everywhere around Luxembourg already and some are even as far as the United States or Australia.

I also opened my own showroom for all those interested in acquiring prints of my pictures. If you are interested, simply get in touch. ;-)

Kickstarter campaign

I am particularly proud of my very recent Kickstarter campaign to launch an all new calendar with my most popular pictures of Luxembourg City. At first I was planning to release around 25-30 calendars this year. But the campaign quickly outreached that goal, selling well over 100 calendars.

And by the way, if you missed this, you can still order some calendars by contacting me.

Life

Of course, the biggest and most important thing happening to myself and my family this year, was the birth of our son.

Life is changed and plenty of new adventures await... I can't wait for what comes next... :-)

2016

So what does come next for 2016? Well, I only need one word: exhibitions. :-)

Thank you all for following and supporting my work. Your support is a constant motivation to create new and exciting new pictures.

Have a Happy New Year!
